Lambeth Fire Brigade kindly supported the Encephalitis Society for their resilience day; ‘My Brain & Me’ whilst providing Event photography it was a pleasure to see the kids enjoy a ride on a fire boat along the River Thames and, got to have a try on hose pipes with members of the fire and rescue teams who were fantastic with the children. The weather was scorching so the cool spray from the hoses was very welcomed by all. The adults were then offered a superb opportunity to speak with practitioners and other sufferers.
I recorded the day on my Nikon D750 full frame camera
Due to data protection only images of the adults have been displayed here.
Every year I donate my services in the form of a charitable donation. To visit the society and read a blog about the day please visit here
They provide an essential support for sufferers of this little known disease of which 80% of the world have not heard of. They require support from both individuals and businesses, so please consider them as your charitable partner this year as I have and continue to do. Based in Yorkshire UK, they offer research and support worldwide with professors, doctors and professional advisors. They have also supported media with storylines in Hollyoaks for Channel Four and producers of the film Brain On Fire for Netflix starring Chloe Grace Moretz.
